I took Johnson, Rahm, and Tiger Woods on Wednesday at pretty good odds; forgot to blog about it. I got Johnson at +900, Rahm at +950, and Woods at +6500.
Woods withdrew due to back stiffness, but the other two have played solid golf through the first 36 holes. Johnson at +225 aren’t the best odds right now in such a close competition, so I would steer away from him.
I like Patrick Reed’s odds at +1000. He’s only 2 strokes behind with plenty of golf to go. Reed has come in the top 30 in his last 6 tournaments, playing solid golf, including a 10th place finish at The British Open. Reed is due for a win, and I woukdnt be surprised if he pulls it off this weekend.
Put a couple bucks on Abraham Ancer. The Mexican has been playing great golf the past 2 days, and sits at a tie for 3rd and only 2 strokes behind. The value at +2800 is great, even though Ancer isn’t necessarily a well known player. Can’t hurt to put a dollar or two.
